Commercial Sales

Utilizing our background as architects, Orcutt Photography is able to offer our clients artwork layout and selection services, customized to specific space, subject and lighting needs. Typically, we begin by meeting our clients to tour their facilities. This allows us to better understand interior colors, lighting, scale and spatial relationships. We also discuss desired image content, final print materials, framing, mounting options and budgets. Following this initial meeting we develop an Artwork Proposal, which consists of floor plans, elevations, proposed photographic images and a budget sheet. Often, we will propose several options for consideration, illustrating different concepts of image selection and a range of pricing. These Artwork Proposals are presented as a PDF booklet and can be printed out in a large display board format. Display boards can assist businesses with inter-office communication and/or development and fund-raising efforts.  Clients have found this process helps them to visualize the Artwork in place, enabling an understanding of the appropriate size of the Artwork and how various images will look on their walls. Since most Orcutt Photography images are captured as high-resolution files, photographs can be printed as large format canvas or laminated prints to meet a variety of spatial requirements.   They can be custom printed as triptychs or in other multiple print formats. For maximum size presentations (full size walls) images can be printed on vinyl-wall-covering, which is mounted directly on interior walls.

Several examples of the Artwork Proposal process are shown below, please click any image to view larger:

Spurwink Services:

A consolidation of smaller multiple offices into one larger facility gave Spurwink Services the opportunity to establish a new overall brand for the organization. Orcutt Photography developed a template design to be used for each print installed throughout the facility, featuring the Spurwink logo, image title and a space for donor recognition. This template ensures a visual consistency, especially important, because the artwork will be added in phases as funds become available.   With our in-house print and graphic design capability, we are able to offer our clients this type of customization at no additional expense to the client.

Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront Residence Inn:

Orcutt Photography developed an Artwork Proposal for the renovation of a Marriot Residence Inn, including all public spaces and guest rooms. Several different lobby schemes were developed for consideration by Interior Designers and Marriott management.

The Client asked for several concepts of room art, each relating to the views offered by the room. Six concepts were developed including these shown below: Coastal Maine, Historic Details of Portland and Birch Trees.

Morgan Stanley, Portland Office:

The Client wanted to create branding within a larger office using Artwork to identify the “Downeast” team area. Using images from Downeast Maine, an identifying type graphic was augmented with an image of Blueberry fields in brilliant fall foliage, creating a distinct focus for clients entering the area.  Images were chosen for each office, illustrated in elevation format to indicate correct scale and placement of the photograph on the wall.

Spurwink Services:

Fronting the entrance parking lot and visible through large storefront, glass windows, the walls in the main lobby presented an opportunity to feature the Spurwink brand using a large, full-sized wall covering made from a photograph. Stitching together multiple files captured with a large format camera, Orcutt Photography can create extremely large custom wall coverings depicting images in great detail.

Skowhegan Savings Bank:

Skowhegan Savings Bank has multiple branches throughout Maine. The marketing department wanted to develop an installation program featuring large wall covering images in all of their banks, depicting local landscapes. Shown below is a 7′ x 22′ wall covering of the Skowhegan Gorge installed in the Bank’s home office, greeting customers as they approach the teller windows.

Several clients have taken advantage of our rental program. For example, R. M. Davis, a financial consulting firm in Portland, Maine requested a new 30” x 60” canvas print at the beginning of each season to be exhibited in the office entry lobby. A hardwood floater frame, matching the wood trim, was purchased for this space. At the beginning of each calendar season, Orcutt Photography replaces the image in the frame with a new in-season photo, providing a fresh look on the lobby walls.

Rental programs can be customized to best suit our client’s needs.
